Darshan Academy, Dasuya, organised a special assembly to mark the grand opening of Peace and Meditation Week, celebrating the 80th birthday of Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj. The assembly commenced with a heartfelt prayer, followed by soulful Shabads presented by the girls of Class VI and the boys of Class VII, creating an atmosphere of devotion and peace.
The assembly further featured a poem recitation and a meaningful enactment on the theme of peace by the students of Class VI, beautifully conveying the importance of harmony, compassion and peaceful living. An inspiring thought of Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj was shared, followed by a brief introduction to his life and spiritual journey. A short quiz was also organised to engage the students and deepen their understanding of his teachings.
The students reflected upon the valuable teachings of Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj, which inspire us to lead a life rooted in love, compassion, kindness and service. During mass meditation, the soothing sound of the wind chimes was played 80 times, symbolising the celebration of Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj’s 80th birthday and creating a serene, peaceful atmosphere. The assembly concluded with a joyful cake-cutting ceremony, celebrating the birthday of Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj along with the students whose birthdays fell on 20th September.
The grand opening set a beautiful tone for a week dedicated to peace, meditation, love and selfless service, inspiring everyone to embrace these values in their daily lives.
